Hi Manoj - I am currently working for a large multi-national company and we are reviewing options around EIPP.
We are compiling a concept document and I’m interested in understanding how the EIPP vendors charge on the buyer side, I can only find information/rates for the supplier side. Are the buyer side transactional costs similar to the supplier side ? Do they have additional costs such as implementation/project manangement costs ?
Any comments would be really appreciated.
Paul, thanks for getting in touch. The short answer is there are many models, some are generic. In most cases, buyer is charged more for the services than suppliers as the requirement for EIPP tends to originate from buyer-side.
Some of the costs could be:
1. Transactional costs - tends to be similar
2. Implementation costs - A/P interface build - most likely, there may be a charge
3. Impementation costs - A/P integration (if offered) - if work is necessary within your ERP other than straight forward interface (nothing is straight forward in reality)
4. Supplier enrollment costs - could be from 0 to significant amount
5. Change management costs -any body’s guess - most vendors do not provide this service
6. Supplier-side transactional costs may be passed to buyer - some vendors do not charge suppliers
7. Project management - could be a cost
Hope above is of some use. Best regards Manoj
Hi Manoj -
Do you have any competitive pricing information on the big EIPP players like Ariba, JPMC Xign, Bottomline, OB10, iPayables, DirectCommerce, etc?
I am evaluating EIPP solutions and am interested in understanding the prices of the big players. I am mostly interested in the per transaction costs (fees charged to the buyer for each invoice or other documents processed). Who are the cheapest / most expensive providers?
This information would be very helpful.
John, many thanks for getting in touch. This type of information can be provided on consultative basis. If that is of interest, please get in touch with me through e-mail + skype + phone to start the dialogue. I am in the process of putting together some information about the services ebdex provides. Will e-mail this as soon as its done. Best regards Manoj
